Wellington u3a Committee April 2026 - April 2027
Our committee of trustees helps shape the direction of Wellington u3a, supporting our groups, planning ahead, organising events and speakers, helping members get the most benefit from everything we do and keeping everything running smoothly.
They work to make sure our u3a stays active, welcoming and member‑led — and there are always ways to contribute if you’d like to be part of our future.
If you would like to ask a question or need any more information please speak to a member of our committee team at one of our events or send a message to the relevant person using the links underlined below their name.
What's involved in being a committee member?

Being a part of Wellington u3a committee can be a very rewarding experience and is a crucial part of the organisation as without one we would not be a viable u3a.
Positions can be filled by anyone with or without the necessary qualifications for that position and the prospective member will be given transitional help, training and support.
A position does not have to be held only by one person but can be shared by two or more.
Help and support are always available from the other committee members and the u3a office. Documents giving a summery of all committee roles can be found on the Documents & Links page.
Our AGM is held in April of each year and a new committee is elected to serve as trustees for 12 months. Some committee members stay for several years, but we always welcome members wishing to learn more about the various roles and to attend a committee meeting to observe how we run the u3a and ascertain whether it's something they could help with.
