Bryan Boon joined the Metropolitan Police Cadet Force in 1960, became a constable in 1962 and finished his career as a Superintendent.
His illustrated presentation covers police uniform & equipment, walking the beat, communications and vehicle support. These topics will be interlaced with day-to-day policing activities. Over 60 years have now passed & change is inevitable to meet modern technological and social demands. Some good things from the past have been lost but others definitely gained. Additionally, some of the problems that haunted policing in the 1960s still exist today.
