Our Book Group is made up, at the moment, of eight friendly members who meet on the 1st Monday of each month at 10.00am in each others houses, taking it in turn to host. This way we get to know each other better and are able to enjoy discussing the chosen book for that month in a relaxed environment over coffee and cake. The books are extremely varied from historical stories set in many different countries to murder/mysteries, romance and comedy. Of course not everyone likes the same type of book and this always leads to very interesting discussions and debate. We are all about having a good time with people who love books and making new friends.
Ruth, who is the convenor for this group, volunteers at Wellington Library and their weekly list of recommended titles has proven hugely useful and enjoyable she says.
